How it Works

Heat Pump Cleaning Process

Heat pumps represent a relatively new and intricate technology. Initially, cleaning these units was not a consideration. Due to their compact design, they do not accommodate large disposable air filters and as a result, dirt, dander, dust, mold, and bacteria accumulate, clogging the air vents and causing these sensitive units to operate under significant strain.

1. Check Operation Efficiency

We test run the system to ensure it is operating correctly. The system is then isolated from the power supply and locked off

2. Clean & Sanitize the Indoor Heat Pump Unit

  • Check the operating temperature and airflow efficiency before and after service
  • Remove filters and spray our bio-degradable cleaner that kills any bacteria or fungi growing on the coils and fan motor
  • Use our special steam machine to disinfect killing all fungi or bacteria growing inside the equipment head
  • We have a specially designed catch system for dirt and water
  • Remove any fine dust in and around the unit
  • Change remote batteries if they need changing

3. Clean & Sanitize the Outdoor Heat Pump Unit

  • Apply bio-degradable cleaning solution to fins and coil
  • Clear foliage from around outside unit
  • Clean intake screens
  • Clean and check fan blades
  • Test and check noise levels
